Enterprise Data Labs
Services

Six Services. One Team Accountable for the Data.

We own the data workstream of your S/4HANA program, from the first profile of the source to the last reconciliation in hypercare.

01 · Service

Migration Architecture

The sequence, the load tool and the runbook, decided before anyone writes a load program.

Migration Cockpit · LTMC · Staging tables · BODS

Without it: objects loaded out of dependency order, and a weekend spent reloading.

Every object in scope gets a load tool, a dependency and a slot in the runbook. Migration Cockpit for what it handles well. Staging tables or BODS where volume or logic demands it.

The runbook is written to the hour. The go/no-go gates are agreed with the business before the first mock load, so nobody is improvising at two in the morning.

Deliverables

  • Object inventory with dependency map
  • Load tool decision per object
  • Hour-by-hour cutover runbook with go/no-go gates
  • Mock load plan and exit criteria
02 · Service

Data Quality & Cleansing

Source data profiled against S/4HANA rules from week one, and fixed by the people who own it.

Business partner · Material · Customer · Vendor

Without it: the first mock load fails on duplicate business partners and nobody can say how many there are.

A defect found in a mock load costs a day. The same defect found after go-live costs a quarter. We profile every source object against the target validation rules before transformation starts.

Remediation is rule-based and owned by the business. The rules stay in your hands after we leave, so the data stays clean.

Deliverables

  • Source profiling report by object
  • Target validation rule set
  • Remediation workflow with named business owners
  • Data quality scorecard per mock load
03 · Service

Reconciliation & Sign-off

Counts, values and fields, every load, against tolerances finance has already agreed.

FI · CO · MM · SD · Open items · G/L balances

Without it: a load that completes, and a controller who will not sign it.

Record counts prove the load ran. Values prove the balances tie. Field-level comparison proves the content is right. We do all three, on every load, and classify every variance against the tolerance matrix.

Sign-off evidence is produced by the framework, not assembled in a spreadsheet the night before. Your auditors have seen the format.

Deliverables

  • Reconciliation framework by object
  • Tolerance matrix agreed with finance and audit
  • Variance reports per load, root cause attached
  • Audit evidence pack
04 · Service

Cutover Execution

Command of the weekend, from source freeze to business release, across every time zone you operate in.

Dress rehearsal · Source freeze · Go-live · Hypercare

Without it: the load waits for a team to wake up, and the window closes.

We run the cutover as a command center, follow-the-sun, with a principal on shift at all times. Every step is timed against the dress rehearsal.

A deviation triggers the contingency already written in the runbook. Rollback is a decision made at a gate, not a panic made at dawn.

Deliverables

  • Cutover command center and shift roster
  • Timed execution tracking against rehearsal
  • Contingency and rollback plans per gate
  • Hypercare triage and defect ownership
05 · Service

Instance Consolidation

Several regional ERPs into one S/4HANA tenant, with the history the business needs and none it does not.

Company codes · Chart of accounts · Selective data transition

Without it: one chart of accounts imposed by whoever shouted loudest, and five years of restated reports.

Consolidation is a data problem before it is a system problem. Charts of accounts, organizational structures and master data are harmonized across instances before a single record moves.

Selective data transition keeps the open items and the history finance will be asked about. The rest stays in the archive.

Deliverables

  • Harmonization design and decision log
  • Organizational structure and company code mapping
  • Selective transition scope with retention rules
  • Consolidated reconciliation across instances
06 · Service

Migration Governance

Independent assurance for a program already under way with an integrator.

Health check · Quality gates · Steering committee

Without it: a steering committee that learns the data is wrong from the auditors.

Most of our engagements start mid-program. We read the migration approach, the mock load evidence and the plan, and tell the steering committee what we found in plain words.

Where we find risk we stay to fix it, alongside your integrator, not instead of them.

Deliverables

  • Migration health check with findings ranked
  • Quality gate definitions and exit criteria
  • Steering committee reporting
  • Remediation plan with owners and dates

Not sure which one your program needs first? Book a review and we will tell you.

Bring the Object List.

Ninety minutes with a principal, your object inventory on the table. You leave with the three risks we would fix first.
